A Waco native, Brittany Martinez joined the firm in August of 2017 after receiving her law degree from Baylor University School of Law where she was on the Dean’s List and graduated in the top third of her class. While Brittany primarily practices family law at the firm, she has also assisted in various civil and criminal matters. While in law school, Brittany competed on a national moot court competition team and was a member of the Order of the Barristers. Brittany earned a Top Ten Speaker Award and Best Appellate Brief Award in the Dawson & Sodd Moot Court Competition at Baylor Law School.
Prior to her law school, Brittany received her Bachelor’s degree in social work from Texas Tech University in 2009 and her Master’s degree in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington in August 2014. Brittany worked as a social worker in Waco at Communities in Schools and Family Abuse Center. The skills that Brittany learned as a social worker carry over into her work with clients going through difficult times whether it be a divorce, custody dispute, or CPS matter.
Brittany is currently a member of the Judge Abner V. McCall Inn of Court, McLennan County Bar Association, and McLennan County Young Lawyers Association.
