A Nolanville man died in a fatal car accident in Arkansas on Friday, according to a preliminary fatal crash summary from Arkansas State Police.
Gary Douglas Erpenbach, 60, was killed when the vehicle he was driving veered from westbound Interstate 30 and struck a tree at 8:45 a.m.
The police report said weather conditions were clear and dry at the time of the collision.
Funeral arrangements for Erpenbach, who retired from the Army after 20 years of service, are being arranged through Scott’s Funeral Home in Copperas Cove.
A rosary will be at 5 p.m. Monday, with visitation following until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
A Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove, with burial to follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Erpenbach’s family requests donations be made to the Fort Hood Fisher House.
